totalwarman
I liked the deterioration of weapons and armour in Oblivion,in this game no matter the strikes we give or take the stuff are always at 100% . It is possible to change this? And now we have blacksmiths everywhere. Edited December 17, 2011 by totalwarman

It should not affect the armor rating or weapon damage in the slightest. Possibly the worst part of Oblivion for most players was the constant need to repair armor and weapons so that I can actually do some damage. It was tedious and you were screwed if you had no hammers in a deadric plane of Oblivion.
rattail
the removal of damage to armor and weapons is most probably make because it made it easier for console player to get into the game. I hate it when I see some cool features ripped out to make it more commerical. I do hope it gets modded back in , totally, not just cosmically. ryanwh
I feel like it shouldn't be too hard for weapons because enchanted weapons basically have deterioration. It would just be a matter of applying something similar to every weapon and tying it to attack rating. Armor might be trickier.
mabus4444
This is probably the worst downgrade from skyrim to oblivion honestly. I loved how stuff degraded and you had to take care of your equipment in Oblivion. Everytime I see a hammer in Skyrim i kind of sigh to myself, they're just useless objects now. It's kind of strange, you add forges and blacksmith stuff..... and you make them basically irrelevent at the same time.

The repair hammers don't have any sense. Here we have many forges and black smiths,we can repair it with realism. Maybe if we paid or doing it ourself.I just hope modders or developers could bring it again.
