NeuroticPixels
Am I the only one sick and tired of having to build my buildings up high on tall foundations so the grass and plants don't poke through the floor??? And then having to attach stairs to everything so my settlers can get to the buildings? Attached is a (compressed) screenshot of annoying-as-hell plants that just love to poke through floors. Also... This post --> https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4679590-stick-grass-be-gone/?hl=%2Bgrass&do=findComment&comment=40657645Those darn things need to be rid of as well! Is there any way to get rid of these items??? Can someone make something to get rid of them? I'm fine with regular, short grass... but this stuff? UGH. I already use Scrap Everything and mods that hide vines and shrubs and such. But plants/grasses like these annoy the ever living hell out of me. Anyone else? pra
Indeed. They should disappear as soon as you build a floor on top. I mean, you are literally plastering the ground over with concrete, there should be no plants on that spot!
NeuroticPixels
Bump. I see so many mods that ADD grasses and plants, but none that shorten the grass or an anything.
damanding
As already explained in the thread you linked to the only way to get rid of that grass is to give it an invisible texture. There's plenty of tutorials on making things in Fallout invisible, have at it.
chucksteel
as damanding said it's all in the other post, but in case you missed it. The grass is generated when the landscape is painted in the world editor. Maybe a texture replacer could remove it but as Damanding said this would remove it from the entire game. Edit, and grass is generated on cell load so if you pay attention it will be poking through different spots every time you return to the location. It is a subtle change but you can still see the difference. Edit 2, another possibility is that someone would have to go through each settlement and re-paint the buildible area with a new ground textures that is only dirt. there are nograss textures that could be used.
