feuerkorn
Great idea with the lich animation! The destruction master spells have some kind of fitting animation aswell. It maybe even the same animation seen in 'jdsnics' link.
jdsnics
Great idea with the lich animation! The destruction master spells have some kind of fitting animation aswell. It maybe even the same animation seen in 'jdsnics' link. It's either those are something from Conjuration - don't really matter either way though right? I think we could definitely get this working though. I'm excited!!
Gigify
I really like this idea. Every time I kill a dragon I go into third person and try to get my character to pose for soul absorbtion. It'd be really awesome to have some sort of animation like that which has been described in this thread to really show the fact that the Dovahkiin is absorbing the essence of one of what is considered to be one of the most powerful race of beings in existence and that it is a very intense and powerful experience for him/her. Alvsyn
Maybe I'll give it a shot, then again I really wouldn't know where to begin even with the CK. But it doesn't seem like many people are interested in this anyways.... so.... Woah, buddy. I'm really interested in seeing this happen. It's almost as if I have to do it myself behind the screen. (all like "BUUUH YEAH f***in' TAKE IT HUUUURRRR!) But seriously, these ideas are looking good. I like the thought of him being taken up in the air, I mean let's think about how big a dragon's soul would be in comparison to a humanoid's soul.. :psyduck: Also, perhaps it would be REALLY awesome if there would be a ground area effect, say for example the player's in combat, it'd be like a radial version of Fus-Ro, with flames circling around the player. Just throwing all of this out there.
Gigify
To expand on my interest and other ideas posted, perhaps a short term buff after absorbing a dragon soul, such as reduced dragon shout times, cure disease, et al.
jmalkavian
When i first seen this topic i thought ...meh. But after watching the video ...You guys are absolutely right !!! ...Would definitely help "immersion". And with the prospect of other mods that peeps have in mind EG: Player: slays dragon in town or near random NPC.NPC: ooOH did that hurt?.Player: Who me?. OR, NPC: What's that stuff like?.Player: it's good s4it !. OR, NPC: What's that do for ya?Player: Come an' i'll show ya. .......Just my 2cents regarding possible "human interaction", "sex" or "fight" mods that will hopefully be done. Yep +1 for the idea. tc. I can see doing that, just wonder how long we'd set the buff for.
Gigify
I can see doing that, just wonder how long we'd set the buff for.Well just going off the first thought that comes to mind: if we take into account the frequency with which dragon killing occurs in game, perhaps approximately 15-30 real time minutes using the base timescale. This would both create a real sense of value and reward for the act of absorbing the soul, but also keep it from being too overpowered. Part of me feels like it's still an awful long time, but then I remember the majority of the time I spend in game is just mindless wandering so it goes by really quickly. feuerkorn
I really like the idea that the "Quickening" is accompanied by some kind of buff. Since it affects balancing i suggest to make the buff an optional download. And for the buff duration time, why not take some kind of buff already in existence. Like the "Blessing of Talos" buff given at his shrine. Duration time and magnitude already balanced in game and it fits the situation. I was thinking more along the lines of Esbern's dragon slaying blessing that lasts 5 days. Or a better buff for shout cooldown times.
