Tizsht
I would so like saddlebags for mount, this means having a chest with you but perhaps with a limited space. Say it could carry 1000 worth of wieght. Also having a camp option would be nice, like a tent with a bedroll so you could sleep anywhere in the wilderness. I don't know how possible this is but something I would very much like to see. Cheers.
WolfScribe
Not much in the way of replying going on here but I would say 1000 is a little steep considering it is most likely a war horse as well.. either way the figure would be easily customised by users with the mod. Out of interest what would you store? Food and potions? Weapons wouldn't be that much use as they are not quickly accessible for a fight and storing that many of them wouldn't be that great for trading since all the merchants in the world don't have enough gold for really high level stuff. I love your idea about being able to set up a camp of some sort though.. providing we could sit back and watch a full animation of our character doing so. For realism it should probably require a few things though.. fire wood, couple of animal pelts and maybe some leather? Would get a little complicated though if we had a follower.. they would also need to go though the whole setting up a camp action which could be difficult to achieve when considering things like shared camp fires. Mostly bulk things you pick up, such like crafting things, some weapons you plan on disenchanting etc. More like you maybe can do two quests in a row without having to do shopping runs as often. It would be awesome if you then could take the saddlebags and carry them into to town, yes you would be overencumbered but still. :)Basically it would be like having a house where you can store some things safely. The second idea is more for a bit of flavour, I know it won't happen until the creation kit is out, but still, I think it would be neat. The animations just have to be a tent and fireplace setup and then you hit rest as per normal, if someone wishes it to have cool animations I wouldn't mind at all. I wouldn't mind being able to buy like tent with bedroll, then flint and stone to make the fire, then you buy a cooking pot etc etc, as long as it is stuff that is easy to carry with, so no, not any portable alchemy labs, grindstones etc. ;P
luxwing0go
A camp is a big large of a task. Now, characters carrying bedrolls and lighting a fire would be easier... As far as the horse luggage, I think a "Bag of Holding" item would be more sound.

As far as the horse luggage, I think a "Bag of Holding" item would be more sound. Possibly, I don't know how hard it would be. There are random camps here and there in the game. Animations might be very difficult but if there are mods out there with portable grindstones already I still have hope of a possible camp, although your idea is great as well : ) Well, saddlebags, bag of holding, name is not so important, but instead of having your mount as a simple form of transport you could actually store some stuff on it as well. Just as you can with followers etc.Not to fuzzed about the name, more the option to store things on your mount. (In oblivion ppl killed shadowmere and stored things in it, then waited for it to come back alive. and voila, they had a living storage module.) Bag of Holding was a mod for Oblivion that was an item in your inventory that you could fill up with whatever. Someone could make another Saddlebags mod for horses, I suppose...
