LordNyron
Plain and simple, we need 2K or 4K skin textures that work on vanilla bodies and play nice with subsurface scattering now that ENB is available for SSE. I'd love an SSE compatible version of Skysight Skins. I tried to just use it with SSE and unfortunately it was one of the few mods that didn't work with it. Caused a CTD when loading. Textures don't cause crashing or shouldn't, did you check the meshes? Downloading to Test.EditI'm no Texture Expert but I wasn't happy with I found. Trying repairs with Gimp, probable gonna fail. Andriokz
WICO uses Skysight. I'm not sure if he did anything in particular, but you could just download his mod, unpack if you need to, use the textures from there.

Yes, textures can cause crashes if they're not in the correct format. I experienced the same issues as the OP with SkySight Skins. I know it was this mod because I tested it with that as the ONLY mod installed and was getting a CTD after the Bethesda logo on loading the game. I discovered it was a single texture -- malehead_msn.dds. I re-saved all of these images in the race folders, 9 total, in uncompressed format and am now able to use this mod while waiting for an official update from the author. How did you uncompress and re save them? Did you just extract the mod or did you use an application?
