d0kefish
-- Moonstone -- After a long winter I've finally decided to revive my old mod. The mod will feature a new world + quests with new equipment and such. However, as there's plenty to be done, I could use a bit more help.So far its basically me and another that's working on it. We know a little bit of everything. In short, the mod will be based on an old game called Moonstone: A hard days knight, which was an RPG for amiga.Ill see this as somewhat of a tribute to that fantastic game me and my mate used to play a lot when we where younger.. The old game did have a "story" but I will try to expand it but still keep the base structure as it was back then. The player will take on a roll of one of the four knights, going after the moonstone, and gain its infinite power.Your journey will lead you through new lands and harsh terrain. Scores of corpses will be at your back before you even get close to the stone. FAQ: If you want to help out with for making models, you need to be able to do a model + sculpt for normals (unless you are so good with textures you dont need to).I can worry about putting the stuff ingame, however I recommend you do it yourself just for personal ingame testing. If you do know how to mod, but just are not very familiar withSkyrimmodding, i should be able to help you out with basically anything. Positions: Creation kit specialist. (worldcreations, ck knowledge etc.)3d modeller x 2 (Armors, characters)3d modeller (props)Coder (Quest's, events, custom spells)Concept artist Team: d0kefish - Leader, 3d, world, ck (I do a little of everything).dfac364 - Co leader, GREAT story writer/quests, 3d-artist Helping out: Matth85 - 3d modelling.Emby - Concept art (Link to his livestream making art.)Urwy - 3d modelling One more important thing, I wont be rushing this mod. This mod should be done for fun of modding, even If you wanna help out with a single item, Ill appriciate that and gladly except your help. -- Development -- Here are the some of the stuff we've done so far. Reskinned Giant - lowpolyKnight armorBlack knight swordTroggshaman's helmet.New world heightmap, based on the map from the original game.Northern claymoreClaymore 2 (placeholder textures)Black knight's helmet.Knight's chest and shoulderarmor. *NEW*Knight's helmet, templar. *NEW* Story CHARACTERS: Sir Richard: owns land in the Northern Wasteland, best fighter Sir Godber: owns land in the Misty Moors, makes initial contact with player, recently came into a fair amount of money from a few well placed investments making him the second richest of the four Sir Jeffery: owns no land but lurks in the Great Forest, absolute loner that travels with no party other than a dire wolf (possibly) believed to not really even be a knight but instead took up his father’s mantle when he dies pretending to be him to complete his final life’s work, never removes helmet for this purpose. Family used to have an estate in the woods but during the rivalry was burnt down by Sir Godber in a successful attempt at stealing the key that Sir Jeffery had found, this fire is speculated as the cause of death of the real Sir Jeffery. Sir Edward: owns land in the Wetlands, richest of the four and fond of flaunting it, he is superficial, arrogant, overly manipulative, and suffers from extreme delusions of grandeur despite be a terrible fighting and a worse knight, however over all he is a good person underneath it all BACK STORY: Knights used to be a part of the same druid order (order of the red hand) back in high rock (20 years ago), the order was under constant attack by a local religious sect (The Dark Hall of Purity) under the employ of a local jealous nobleman who sought after the druids lands. The order had recently taken some heavy losses and was desperate for an edge when one of the elders at the time heard tell of a powerful magic artifact known only as the moonstone. Desperate for something to turn the tides of the war they dispatched their four greatest knights to a land known only as the Center of the World (possible to change) an island in the Eltheric Ocean just east of Yokuda, although no one was sure what exactly the moonstone did, they where sure that it was important and would help in the war effort. Shortly after the departure of the four knights the Dark Hall guys heard about their actions and spying a weakness in the enemy launched an immediate assault on the headquarters of the Red Hand, taken by surprise they Red hand didn’t even have time to organize and nearly every member was cut down and the building burned to the ground, seeking to cement their victory the Dark Hall sent a retinue of their elite Black Knights of to the island to finish the four knights and look into the stories of the moonstone. Shortly after arriving on the island the four knights set up a base of operations amongst the local population and beginning the search the four knights received a crow with a hurried message hastily scrawled detailing the attack on the headquarters, fearing the worst had happened there first reaction was to return at once and seek out any survivors. But as they returned to shore they say the boat of Black Knights landing and where forced into battle, nearly losing their lives to the score of Black Knights they were able to just barely escape with their lives fleeing deeper into the island. Once they were safe they convened to discuss what to do next and while they all knew they should return home there was something else, a voice in the back of their head that told them to stay, they did not realize it but the island drew power from the moonstone and it was not about to let them leave. After a few days of tending to their wounds their resolve had broken and they decide as a group not to leave the island but instead to seek out the moonstone, convincing themselves that perhaps the moonstone would somehow make everything better. This worked for a few weeks as they surveyed the land and began the search in earnest and learned of the four keys required to penetrate the wall guarding the valley in the center of the island, but slowly and surely paranoia and mistrust crept its way into the group dynamic. As the situation became more and more stressful and as the lost lives of friends and family back home weighed on them they slowly started to turn on each other constantly bickering. Eventually they learned of the location of a key and set out to claim it after along and heated battle they finally found it, and just as soon as Sir Richard had his hand on the gleaming metal a mood came over him, he whirled around and drew his sword and betrayed them all. After Sir Richards’s departure the rest of the group furious and tired, fell into an argument and after several threats went their separate ways. LOCATIONS: -Moorland, town in the north western misty moors, has the islands only dock and as such is reasonably prosperous due to trade, they have a blacksmith, an inn, and apothecary, and a general store. Sir Godber recently invested in a trading enterprise here which has earned him the money to hire mercenaries (the player). -High Temple, an old seldom used temple just outside of moorland with no obvious purpose -River city, (more of a creek and definitely not a city) located in the south eastern wetlands, a relatively small town born of a prosperous farming community owned by Sir Edward, town offers only a blacksmith and the services of Mythral the Mystic -Great Forest, very sparsely populated mostly with bandits, with a low to medium amount of hunting. Lost in the center is the stone hedge site. Believed to house the headquarters of the Black knights. -Stone hedge, while the original purpose has been lost to time this is often regarded as a place one should try to avoid at all costs -Northern Wasteland, (a mountain range) almost no population at all except for a handful of bandits, deep in the mountains lies the Tower of Math, Sir Richard was believed to have fled here after his betrayal and taken up residence in a cave -Tower of Math, home to the Wizard of Math, a man on unknown age who hasn’t actually been seen by anyone although everyone is sure he exists -Valley of Gods, Centrally located it is a small valley surrounded by a wall that prevents entry without the four keys, believed to be not only the home of the moonstone but of the dragons as well. d0kefish
Im soon releasing a armor and weaponpackage with all the weapons. Im still very much interested in anyone who would like to contribute to the mod, as my plan is to make it into an epic questline, and frankly I doubt I can do everything myself.
