2late2die
I spent 20 minutes searching the skyrimnexus.com website trying to find a way to change my password. It finally occurred to me to try the "change email address" link, which lead my to a page with a link to the change password page. Please correct this because this is poor website design and functionality like changing the password should be easily accessible. Incidentally, if the nexus download manager doesn't allow special characters in the password, then the nexus sites/forums shouldn't allow those as well. That is why I had to change the password in the first place - I created one with % but was later unable to login into the download manager. (And I guess while I hopefully have your ear - the "User Area" I refer to in the post subject is actually called "member area" in the drop down menu that appears when I hover over my username on skyrimnexus.com, that should be corrected as well, i.e. you should settled down on either "user area" or "member area" and use them consistently throughout the site. Calling the same page multiple names only creates confusion.)
ub3rman123
Didn't think it was hard to find. I just clicked on 'My Settings' then 'Change Password' in that and there it is. Is the bar for it hidden for you or something due to a browser error?
Werne
@ub3rman123 He searched for it on Skyrim Nexus, not on the forums, it kinda is hard to find it from there.
stringboi
I agree here.....I've actually went to change my Skyrim Nexus password twice and gave up because I couldnt find a link anywhere. I had to search the forums in hopes to find a topic like this. Add additional links to the main User CP or properly label the section to "Change User Credentials" or something like that. "Change email address" to me and just about every website I use means just that one thing...."Change email address"!!! There is most always a second link with "Change password" below. I change all my passwords a few times a year, I'm sure again in a few months if this isnt corrected....I'll spend another 20 minutes searching for the button and resorting to a forum post to find the correct process.....Fix this! taltamir
I agree with the OPAlso, thank you OP for explaining how to change the password, after 10 futile minutes i stopped searching the site and started searching google and found this thread. Now I know its gotten to via the change email page.
NeithanDiniem
Thanks for this thread, as I likely wouldn't have been able to find how to fix my password. They really should change that so it is easier to find from the nexus how to change one's password. Had to google it to figure it out, which is a terrible way to have to do that. NovaSecura
Indeed they should, right now it's not even letting me change my damn password due to the fact that I must, and I quote "complete the whole form". It's almost as if they don't want me to able to change it.
