Mods have completely f***ed up my game, how do I wipe them off it completely?

Right, so it pretty much goes without saying that I am new to modding. Well, I have made a complete and utter mess of trying to install a number of mods onto Dragon Age Origins, which have ruined the game and won't f***ing go away. In one, the "Wardens of Ferelden" mod, which is supposed to give all the Grey Wardens the armour they wear in Dragon Age II, but it won't manifest itself properly in game, and they all show up naked.

Likewise, I downloaded another one which consists of a number of smaller mods which are supposed to make Leliana look more like she does in Inquisition. I really don't know what happened here, because her face is in negative colours for some reason, albeit it's obvious that the mod somehow partially manifested itself in a f***ed up way because it's changed her hair and facial structure correctly. I tried to de-activate all the mods within this, but the effects won't seem to go away for some inexplicable reason. I fear that unless I just wipe my game of all mods completely, it will be permanently f***ed up beyond repair. How exactly would I go about doing that? I was trying to start a new game anyway, so I'm willing to uninstall and then reinstall the whole game if necessary. It's worth noting that I used the Nexus Mod Manager to download and activate my mods.

Modding has been, for me, nothing but complete and utter frustrating nightmare from the very beginning. How the f*** does everyone else seem to have such an easy time working with this s***?

If you're using the EA Origin version of the game, then I think you want to "Repair" the game files.

"Repair Game" feature in Origin:

If you're using the Steam version, then I think verifying the integrity of the game cache will fix it. Maybe.

If all else fails, just completely wipe the game from your PC and start over. That method will 100% work. I will say that modding Dragon Age: Origins is a bit of chore, but at least it's easier than modding the Mass Effect games I suppose.

Note that changes made by mods to the equipment of NPCS will persist in existing saves, even after the mod has been uninstalled and the game repaired, as that information is 'baked into' a save upon entering the map that contains the NPC.

I did not know that, thanks for sharing! Does that mean you don't need to keep mods that alter equipment installed in order to benefit from them, or is that more of a bug than a feature? Kind of curious.

Well I uninstalled and reinstalled the game on Steam, and it did absolutely nothing. I've uninstalled all the mods that are causing problems, but the problems are still there. Whenever I quickstart a new game just to test it out, Duncan is still naked, even though the mod that should be causing that problem is gone. I really don't understand how all this is happening. It makes no sense whatsoever.
