Custom cubemaps = impossible

I'm gonna kick someone so hard!

I'm trying to make a custom cubemap and by custom I mean from images found on the internet.

I was following this tutorial.

It uses Ati CubeMapGen for generating dds cubemaps.

This is the test image I used.

 

This is how it looks in Ati CubeMapGen. It looks good.

But after using that cubemap on test cube and rendering it in GECK, it looks like this!

Why the hell is it rotated 90 degrees?

I was following that tutorial to the letter, but everytime it looks wrong.

There are couple of other tutorials I tried that use GIMP (I don't have photoshop) and even used GIMP plugin that generates cubemaps, none of them worked. It either came out messed up or rotated by 90 degrees.


Does anyone know how to generate cubemap and have them look correctly in game?
