Fused Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Hi guys. I'm not sure this is the right place to be asking this, but it's the best Skyrim forum I've found - if there's a better place to post, or another forum I should try, please let me know. My issue is Calder. I can't find him. I completed the quest to get him, he moved into my house (the room became furnished...), but the git isn't there. It's been about 3 ingame days, at least. When I finished the quest to get him, I DID have Lydia at the time, however a friend also did this and Calder showed up fine for her. I've tried to locate and move him to me: Prid 000A2C96 moveto player However this does strange things. If I do it outside of Hjerim, it returns an error about the ref ID. If I do it IN Hjerim, it accepts the line, I get the "000a2c96 listed at the top of the console, however the moveto command does nothing. At least, he doesn't appear in front of me :P I've checked all over Hjerim multiple times and I simply cannot find him. In case it's mods.. I have the Hjerim chests mod, one to make female housecarls stand less like an ape, QD Inventory and a couple of mods to give the guards a tartan pattern on their armour. None of these (that I've seen written!) have any mention of issues with spawning/finding Calder. I think I'm alone in this one, since unlike all my other head-scratchers, Google doesn't return much for me.. My other issues have been confirmed 'common' simply because I put in two words and Google guesses the rest, lets me know others have the same issue! If anyone has anything to suggest, I'm open to other console commands to spawn him, though I'm acutely aware of the problems that can arise from spawning unique NPCs so.. anyone, anything, would be much appreciated!
khbazur Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 If you still have a save game before you completed the quest to get the housecarl, try disabling the Hjerim chests mod. Remember to remove all your stuff from the chests first. I've found that mods that alter the player houses conflict greatly with the various housecarl quests resulting in bugged or outright missing housecarls. Simply disabling the mods before you complete the housecarl quest then saving after you get the housecarl then enabling the mods will fix your housecarl problems.
Fused Posted December 21, 2011 Author Posted December 21, 2011 Aah, I don't have a save that wasn't a good while before, unfortunately. Might be time to cut my losses and use another. I'll try disabling the mods and see if he rocks up, but otherwise it might be time to go get the annoying cow from Whiterun's tavern... :) Thanks for the suggestion.
Fused Posted December 22, 2011 Author Posted December 22, 2011 In case anyone else has this problem, I solved it using the "enable" command after targeting his ref ID in the console. Seems to be working fine since! ;)
nomaroos Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 (edited) Um. I had the same problem. I managed to get Calder back but his room is empty! (No furnishings.) Anyone have any idea how to fix it? Thanks! Edited October 24, 2013 by nomaroos
