MallaVelve
You can not download and install Skyrim mods in SKYRIM SPECIAL EDITION. They are different, have different requirements, and will not work properly or at all. Only install Skyrim Special Edition Mods to SSE.
sarzios
You can not download and install Skyrim mods in SKYRIM SPECIAL EDITION. They are different, have different requirements, and will not work properly or at all. Only install Skyrim Special Edition Mods to SSE. I think the OP is talking about Skyrim Special Edition, not to mention, there are a lot of original skyrim mods that work on SSE without any issue. Anyway, @lupinmodz, the answer is yes, you can manually download mods and then put them into the mod manager.I'm going to assume that you are using the Nexus Mod Manager. The way I install them is: 1. Download the files manually from the Nexus site.2. Go to your "Downloads" folder under your pc directory. You should see the mod that you have downloaded.3. You can now either copy/paste the mod, or simply drag it into your "Mods" folder. Try and remember where you installed your mod manager. Mine is installed in (D:)>Games>Nexus Mod Manager>SkyrimSE>Mods4. It should now be in your mod manager, if you had NMM open, close it and open it again.5. Activate your mod It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it and much more reliable than downloading straight to NMM.***Also, just as a warning since you are new to modding, try to make sure you download mods from the "Skyrim Special Edition" Nexus page and not the original "Skyrim" page. Anyway, good luck! Edited November 11, 2016 by sarzios
