PrometheusTS Posted November 9, 2016 Share Posted November 9, 2016 I have a weird problem , I have some meshes for wich I used alpha vertex color to get transparency on ground , the very same that is used on some snow drifts in vanilla nifs. The BSlightningshaderproperty is actually the same , but this is the weird effect I get ingame. http://i.imgur.com/3feZ3ZF.jpg The left is ingame, and as you can see the mesh of snow I created is transparent and showing background wooden stairs, while onright is how it should work as it appears in CK ... Tamira Posted November 10, 2016 Share Posted November 10, 2016 Did you upload the correct nif? I tested it in my test worldspace and it did not look transparent. In fact it can't be transparent as the alpha is set to 1.0 and all the vertex alpha in vertex colors is set to 1.0, which is intransparent. In the vanilla snow mesh all vertex alpha have values below 1.0 so it should be half transparent but I did not see any difference in the transparency ingame. PrometheusTS Posted November 10, 2016 Author Share Posted November 10, 2016 the steps one is my mesh , the alpha is 1 on the centralparts of the bulk portions of snow and is 0 in the middle flat parts between the two bulks. also the mesh uses the snowalt something , the one without the alpha in the channel I think?
