How exactly would hundreds of players explore Skyrim at once? Droves of Dragonborn crawling around Skyrim kind of obliterates the story, almost every part of which is geared toward making a single player feel unique in the world. Guild Wars is the only MMO I've put much time into, and its sense of unreality--standing around in common areas with hundreds of other players all waiting to go complete the same quests--is what drove me away. It didn't seem like an MMO; it seemed like a several player game with common waiting areas.

If hundreds of players will inhabit Skyrim, will they each be able to complete the same quests? Doesn't that kind of wreck the sense of story, one of the game's major foci? If you meet a new player, and you've both just independently crawled the same dungeon and beaten the same boss, are you even going to feel like you're immersed in the Skyrim experience anymore? At that point things would be reduced to a multiplayer action RPG where not much matters, and there are better action games than Skyrim.

PvP would be pretty fun, but everything else about the game seems as though it's designed for single player. Just my opinion, and keep in mind I don't play MMORPGs anymore.

If you used a story to explain why unique players were brought together--let's say, parallel worlds overlapping temporarily--and created an original campaign that made use of this setup, it might avoid breaking Skyrim's immersion.

Honestly, rather than MMO. I'd like to see co-op for a small group of players 2 - 12 ish people. And still have PvP as planned. I agree with the above mostly.

This is exactly what I keep thinking. When a basic coop oblivion mod was attempted it was never even half finished. Instead of getting overly ambitious why not first focus on getting a solid 2-4 player coop working (even if it starts out requiring no other mods be installed) and work from there. I'd rather see something basic like this come to be than nothing at all. Best of luck either way, its your talent and time so you don't need to care what I think. :)

Should clear things up ;) Awpsoleet is using his publicity to slander our mod, make sure you get the whole story and not just fragmented quotes that he deems useful to his cause.
