SWTOR - Can it be Modded Graphically?

No, it's not something you should even attempt. What's more, modding an online game usualy results in harsh punishment, a permanent ban at best, and a lawsuit at worst-it's also illegal in some places.

Thank you for the response. Disappointing, as the talent seen here, really could have added to the stock game, like it does to DAO, Skyrim, etc.

Oh well.

You do realise if people can mod a MMO it will kill the money income of a company? who wants DLCs and expension packs when you got a huge fanbase that does even better job of releasing content and that is free too!

It's not about money, it's about people hacking the game and beating everyone else. Search in the nexus for cheat mods and you can find lots. Also, it's really hard to put new models and textures in MMOs as it would cause tons of bugs. There is a host but those are the biggest two.

My dear, its always about money.

They don't give a flying f*** about cheats, trust me, well maybe they do a little bit.

As has been stated many times, modifying content for an online game, namely MMO's almost always results in a ban. Read the darn EULA for the sake of whatever god, deity, or flying spaghetti monster you believe in. It's there in plain text under client modifications. Even if it is just a graphical replacement it usually results in a ban once you're found out. There is a reason why virtually every MMO checks files for validity before you can even connect.

This is the sort of thing that gives modders a bad name, and therefore this discussion is locked.
