Kaizerstadt - Markbesirkt?!

Right, for some reason, one of my mods has renamed the IC market district in german (I think); I have no idea which one and prefer not to have to go through them all to find out. So is there any easy way to just change the name back to english?

Well, don't take this the wrong way, but...does it matter?

I mean, you know what map you're in, if it's the only one affected. "Kaizerstadt - Markbesirkt" "Oh, I must be in that one district that a random mod renamed."

 

There IS a cell rename console command, but it only works for interior areas. I think exterior area's names are controlled differently, probably using markers near the entry points that go off when you get close.

 

Sorry to say, your best bet is probably to determine which of your mods change the Market District, then go through those to find out if any have a German creator. Surely you don't have that many, right...?

Ah, indeed! I came to the same conclusion after deactiviting mods last night, thanks nonetheless though!

It damn well matters; having districts named in german when they are supposed to be named in english completely breaks the immersion for me. I would be completely appalled if I had to play through Oblivion in Swedish (My langauge) because it would be so awkward and malplaced.

Ah, I suppose you're right, sorry. I personally don't pay attention to in-city floaty text, since I'm more of a visual person and IC is a fairly remarkable-looking place.

Hi friends,

 

whats the trouble. I had my game with German, English, French, Chinese, Russian, Japanese, and whatever Names. There are two ways to make it. The one is you clean the dirty mod that does the wrong specification, the other is load all your mods, have a look at the cell names,possibly weapon armor and clutter, and do a name patch at the end of your load order.

Hi alltogether,

 

I apolologize being the cause of this discussion. The IC name polluter is my NoMaaM BBB Animation theatre. But for my excuse, there is an esp update availble for more than one year, fixing exactly this problem. It's so easy to create a "dirty mod". :(

 

But as LFact mentioned, it's also (relatively) easy to find the culprit with TES4Edit. At least much faster than by deactivating mods.

Ah, to each his own, I guess. What is gamebreaking for me might not be for you; I know many people aren't so picky when it comes to names, but for me, sure, I could probably play with it like that for awhile but everytime I'd see it I'd become increasingly annoyed with it to the point where I'd have to try and fix it.
