Povuholo
It has been discussed before. The short version: What kind of things do you expect to be able to do as the emperor? The job of the emperor is to do political things. The emperor doesn't go goblin hunting. He's in the palace making political decisions. I don't see what's so fun about that, especially because those decisions aren't really going to change anything in the game world, not to mention that it would be difficult to make. f4110u73
I think that this would be a good mod for someone to make. But with a few edits. Like you become the emperor later after the main quest. Read on to understand My idea is to go on the main quest until you get to the end where *SPOILERS* Martin sacrifices himself. The cinematic controls are then enabled and you have to run up to Martin and convince him to trade places. But you are not related to the royal line so instead of shattering the the amulet, Akatosh freezes time, (He is the god of time right?) and pulls you up to his palace and grants you a bottle of pure dragon blood. You can choose to drink it or give it to martin. If you drink it, you are able to become the incarnation of Akatosh and vanquish Mehrunes Dagon. If you give it to Martin, he still shatters the amulet but also drinks the potion so that he comes back after the transformation. After speaking to Martin, he tells you that he is happy that he can continue to try to take the throne and rule the empire and he thanks you. Chancellor Ocato walks in and does the normal speach and then asks you to take place in the coronation of Martin. After that, Martin asks you to become his personal Enforcer, Guard, Knight or Assassin. Depends on your taste. You get the option to become any of them. He then has Chancellor Ocato give you quests to fit with the job you chose. If you drank the potion, Martin speaks to you saying that you are now a living conduit of the gods and he hands you the amulet. Chancellor Ocato the walks in and congratulates you and asks you to attend a Elder Council meeting to decide what happens next. You attend the meeting where it is decided that you can become the emperor. You can decide to give the title to Martin and get the title of High Priest for the Order of the Gods or something along the same line. You get to keep the power to become Akatosh. You then are given quests to enhance your power. Maybe getting the other powers of the gods. Like maybe 3 spells each. After learning each set of 3 spells for the god, there's a major quest that requires you to use the spells that you just learned and other godly spells that you learned before. At the end of each major quest there is an artifact that you find. After getting all the spells and gathering all the artifacts, you are contacted by the gods to assemble the artifacts. You call an Elder Council meeting and come to a decision about what should be done. You then assemble the artifacts to make a single set armor and the helmet and a weapon that can change form between 1 handed and 2 handed and axe form, sword form and mace form. After forging it, the gods call you to their joint throne room. They tell you of the threat of Molag Bal, Malacath, Mehrunes Dagon, Mephala, and Sanguine conspiring to overthrow Martin after the botched attempt by Mehrunes Dagon alone. You go an find them in a plane of Oblivion created just for when they consume the soul of the last of the dragonborn. Upon finding them, you face of in a battle against them. You put up a fight but die at the end. you are then transported to the gods throne room again. They give you a new spell to make you the living incarnation of the joint gods. You go back to the plane. The Daedra are amazed to see that you are alive and make you an offer. You can join the Daedra and gain new powers and lose all of the powers from the gods. or you you can fight and inevitably die and be consumed. If you join them, you gain 3 powers for each of the gods that are more powerful then the gods spells in individuality, but equal in power compared to all of the gods power combined together. You also get to personally kill Martin and trap his soul in a Colossal Daedric Gem. You deliver it to the Daedra and gain the power of a Daedric Prince. The REAL power. Not the Shivering Isles weak spells with next to no benefits. and your own Realm of Oblivion. Not like the Deadlands but like a different Daedra Prince Realm like Azura's or Mephala's. If you don't join them, you engage in combat. If you don't use the spell, then you will eventually die. The armor helps you stay alive, but just like Pelinal Whitestrake you are mortal and can be killed. If you use the spell you become the dragon from the end of the Main Quest only multicolored. If you use the spell you will beat them. Then you have a choice. You can consume them to get their immortality and some of there powers or you can trap them in a godly soulgem that is provided through a spell and bring their essence to the gods. If you consume them you will gain control over of the joint realms and the individual realms of the princes. If you return the gems to the gods the grant you a place among them as a god much like Talos had. If you accept, then the gods grant complete immortality from any type of weapons except for the special ones (Silver, Daedric, Enchanted). They will be severely damaged when coming into contact with you and any damage that you may take will be nearly instantly restored. You are granted your own Godly Realm where you can change things. That is my idea. It can be changed. Oh and sorry that this on a topic that is pretty old. I thought that my ideas might bring back the topic. Alixen
There has been a mod in the works for some time, and they recently changed their URL and as far as I can tell the project has died, as large ones tend to do. It was called empire's Glory. It may come back to life or it may not. As for the Emperor not going adventuring; if you are going to be picky/pendantic then they should also remove the option to be the Arch-Mage, Guild-Master of a Fighetrs Guild chapter, and so forth. These jobs are also supposed to be adminstrative roles, rather than people out in the field. since you would be the EMPEROR it would be well within your powers to take a more hands on approach to leading, and go out into your Empire with your Blades to help the people. no one is going to tell you 'No'. f4110u73
I totally agree. To bad that Empires Glory died. I lack the skills to make any sort of mod. I can't even create a simple quest. But if someone were to look at this mod idea and contact me and try to make this mod then I would be overly happy. I have found new ideas even after posting my last message.
