TESV Acceleration Layer - SKSE Plugin (Massive Framerate Boost)

This SKSE plugin has been documented (by others, I haven't run the game with it yet) to provide up to 40% frame rate boosts in areas of Skyrim where the CPU bogs down (e.g., on the Dragonsreach stairs looking over Whiterun). It does so by changing some inefficiently compiled code from Skyrim (what a shock). Read all about it, and find download links in the threads below. My guess is Bethesda will be paching this code into the game in about a month.

Like anything depending on SKSE, you need to be on the current version of Skyrim.

The direct download link is here (may change):

That would require effort. Bethesda doesn't do anything that requires effort. Besides, Bethesda would just find a way to screw it up somehow. Better to let the modding community clean up their mess. Things will actually work correctly that way.

Thanks for the heads up. Since you let us know this was out I grabbed the new SKSE, this, and the 1.3.10 patch and updated everything. Runs sweet as can be. But then again I also updated to latest Nvidia Beta driver yesterday. All seem to work well together.

Fortunately I haven't had any of the graphics problems that many complain about but I am running an EVGA GTX470 Superclocked, Intel Quad i 7 @ 3.2 Ghz, and 8 gigs Corsair DDR3 with a Dell 2407 wfp monitor. All video settings in ULTRA and all distance views maxxed. Runs great no stutter or video lag.

I've just been in game and on a visit to Markarth to test it out. The difference is stunning. My system is pretty beefy but I was suffering the dreaded Markarth frame rate drop. My FPS in that city are now same as everywhere else, that is to say at least 50FPS and usually more like 60+.

I knew it, I bloody knew it. I finally managed to make my game stable with 90% of the mods listed in the STEP guide, only to find this. Now I have to go from version 1.1 to 1.4, install and all the mods again and hope for the best :ohdear:

PS: thanks for posting this. I'll give it a try tomorrow.

would just like to bump that post, i have just downloaded and installed the new nvidia beta drivers and they are very nice, no complaints here :) nice framerate boost in skyrim. my rig isnt quite as nice as the OP's but with my dual core 5400 amd's, my nvidia 9800gt 1gb, 4gb corsair ddr3. i'm running the game on ultra, 4xfsaa, 4x anisotropic and all distances maxed and i'm clocking 40-50fps in the heaviest areas graphically. am interested in the tesv acceleration layer for more of a boost, gonna check it out :)
