Problem: Duplicate an item

Hello

 

How to duplicate correctly the meshes and the textures of an item ?

 

I have tried to do this with "the leather sandals" (Eshme's body clothes)

- copy and rename the sandals.nif, in sandals2.nif (meshes)

- copy and paste the sandals.dds and sandals_n.dds, in sandals2.dds and sandals2_n.dds (textures)

 

After, i have succeded in add it in a store (so, i can buy them at eshme store)

 

but, here is the problem:

 

-when i modify the texture of the copy (sandals2.dds), nothing is modified in the game, but, if I mofify

the texture of the original file (sandals.dds), the 2 items are modified in the game.

 

Can u help me, and tell me how to duplicate the items?

Should I use a particular program to do this?, Am I making a mistake?
