My complaint about the nude mods

It's not that people make them, it's that they all make them so idealized, and is there a way to change the body types based on the face type? It seems so odd for a person with an old crone's face to get looted and be hiding a 20 year old model's body under there, and then the random bandits all happen to be giving John Holmes a run for his money. If there were some way to have variation in the models, but I'm guessing that isn't possible. Is it?

The older person body issue is easily solved by making them their own race so they get a different body. Would take a bit of work, but it is very doable and once the toolset is out, should be pretty easy but time consuming (to identify and reflag all the elderly actors). Edited by Sunnie

Or make custom races use the new body. Anyways, this should be doable with the toolset.

This doesn't solve the issue of looting a younger NPC and the elderly NPC and both having the same 20 YO body. Custom races are generally only used by the PC for the most part, so giving a custom race a custom body won't help the OPs issue.

If you are using Better Females by Bella mod combined than you solve this issue.

That's a valid complaint; there should be a way to scale the elderly and monstrous down on the hotness meter. I believe the game has a determining factor for age as it assigns complexions scaled to the respective age : maybe that can be tapped into to assign an appropriate mesh? The one that got me was the old lady hostage in the DB sanctum...20 year old curves...80 year old skin. Might be better to leave those non-nude and vanilla to eliminate the awkwardness -and- it would be unreasonable to ask a modder to morph an elder body... who'd wanna sit though that?

Hopefully the construction set will offer up a way to map that stuff out.

How does it solve it? By making the elderly look younger? Sorry, thats not a real fix for the issue, all that does is make all the elderly NPCs look younger.

Plus by definition it only affects half the NPCs. I mean this is one of the first and most obvious, but having full body variation for a variety of factors, but that's where it would surely get even more complex. And as far as people not wanting to model the macabre in for mods, there was a whole movement of Dutch painters back in the day who rejected the Renaissance neoclassical desire for perfection. We're more enlightened than Dutch people hundreds of years ago aren't we? Edited by Lugh1000

Nah...we're probably less so 'as a whole' ;). They didn't have all these modern, readily available distractions to drain their souls and keep their minds dulled to progressive thought.- sad, really.
