CTD when starting new game or loading old save (even vanilla/non modded saves)

So, recently my game was really bugged out. I reinstalled it, got all my mods back ( a few more added, just clothes/guns ) and now whenever I load a game, new game or vanilla game I get a CTD.

I seem to be having a similar issue. I reinstalled my game, and unmodded I cannot load an old (unmodded) save or start a new one. Loading screen for 2 seconds and then CTD. I'm trying to figure out if some mod failed to uninstall with the mod manager or the game when I removed it.

 

edit: That seemed to fix it. I simply deleted all of the files in the Fallout 4 directory, where the .exe is located, and then used steam to validate the files. You may or may not be having a separate issue.

What is the actual plugin count (esps, not counting mods that just replace files without an esp)? I suspect you've hit the 255 plugin limit or at least gotten too close. Also I noticed you're using Scrap Everything. On that particular mod you have to ignore what Loot says and place it at the very end of your sort order.

Yes likely you had a mod that failed to completely uninistall. In the future you can just delete the Data directory then steam verify and not have to re-download all the huge Fallout files again.

It was a problem with some F4se files I suspect -- not related to the Data folder which uninstalled completely via Steam. They were in the Fallout 4 directory, where the .exe is located.
