NeonGremlin
These are the 3.5 things that the game lacks that somewhat confuse me.I would love to request any (or all) of these three-ish things, if anyone feels ambitious. #1.0)Bicycles have been around forever. Tricycles still found in settlements.Sure it might be impractical for most of the commonwealth... But where are they? I'm thinking they'd be comparable to using a mounted minigun; You'd use them for a slight movement+. Drawing a weapon would drop/stand it.After combat's over, look down at it on the ground/stand and "use" it again. #2.0)Next up we have bunk beds. They've been around a long time.Heck, we see them in tons of pre-war facilities - but we can't craft them...?I find that very strange. A single-space item with 2 bed contribution would be great. #3.0)In the era on which Fallout's prewar history is based, fashion was still important.Stockings were actually a huge part of that fashion, but are suspiciously absent.Heck, there's even a vanilla song in FO4 that references them directly. Logistically speaking, their odds of survival are no worse than many other items.(well - the blast that is - disregarding rips/snags/tears - which could be a neat retex)It would make absolute sense to find them in dressers or clothing stores and such. #3.5)For that matter, shoes and dresses were huge parts for ladies. Suits for guys. It would be wonderful if someone could make clothing modular.Different suit jackets, more feminine head options (headbands or hairclips etc.).Footwear in mind, rolling off #3.0 -- most wouldn't give stat bonuses. In the case of dress shoes or heels, maybe +1 Charisma?Could include sneakers, for +1 Endurance for comfort purposes? If someone wanted to jump on immersion for this element...Maybe the versions that +stats could borrow conceptually from Survival Mode. While they may be pretty/comfy, they're not necessarily durable.Could damage/break comparable to leg damage rates for overburdened? I don't know. These are my current thoughts/requests for the future of Fallout 4.I have a feeling I'll be happily playing for many years - especially if things like this get added! damanding
Adding a bicycle you can ride requires some significant scripting (not to mention creating a mesh for it) and I don't believe the F4SE team has had a chance to get to the level of functionality required to make working vehicles of any type. That's the kind of thing that takes up to a couple of years, it's not quick mod to make, believe me it would have been done by now if it could have been. There are quite a few mods already that add bunk beds and double beds. There are some great clothing mods that have come out for pre-war style clothing. There was one for men's clothing released just in the last week or so. There was another one with dresses released a couple of months ago. Sort mods by category and check out the Clothing category. NeonGremlin
I figured the bike thing would be hard - more of a "Why?" than an "I want it!"Strange, on the bunk beds thing -- all my searches turned up nothing.Man, I must be terrible at searching. I'll try again. That aside, the fact that almost all clothing are bare-legged parallel to a pseudo-era where stockings were classy-AF confuses me. I've seen plenty of neat clothing mods, and I've downloaded several that don't feel are out of place, but almost none of them even scratch that topic. Perhaps I'm clinging too hard here, but I feel like people are ignoring a relevant piece. Only the lab coat actually has them as part of the outfit, for some reason, and recently someone modded that texture to look less like a sweater. They did a nice job, but that's what got me thinking: "Wait... Why aren't there any others?" So I searched. While we've established that my searching skills are apparently wanting, the only ones I've found with them of any kind were immersion-breaking and/or questionable, sadly. They were decent mods, don't get me wrong, just didn't really "fit" y'know? Would be awesome to see someone break-in Modular Clothing Pieces, sorta like back in Skyrim. damanding
I did an Advanced Search and put "bunk beds" in the description field: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/searchresults/?src_order=1&src_sort=0&src_view=1&src_tab=1&src_language=0&src_descr=bunk__bed&src_showadult=1&page=1&pUp=1 I've used lapdragon's Build all the Beds, you might also check out Eferas' Better Settlement Beds. Then of course there's Homemaker if you don't mind having 22 trillion items stuffing your settlement menus. :D
Athanasa
I think NPCs don't use Bunk Beds correctly - something about only using the bottom bed?
damanding
I think NPCs don't use Bunk Beds correctly - something about only using the bottom bed? That is correct, I don't know of anyone who has ever managed to fix that. I'm pretty sure it would require development of new animations tied to furniture which is even more of a technical challenge than just making standalone animations to my understanding. In fact I'm not positive it can even be done with the currently available tools. So the NPC's don't actually use the bed, any NPC assigned to it in a settlement will stand around all night but they still count as having a bed for happiness purposes.
