Interior Day Night Cycle

Can anyone tell me how to do an interior day night cycle like the one in the Institute Concourse? I'm doing some more edits to a mod I use often. Also, if anyone knows how, could you instruct me on how to make the outside world visible like in the Prydwen?

These are different things. In institute a mesh with external emittance is used and Prydwen location has Commonwealth LODs enabled and sky turned on.

Not sure if it's a viable solution for you, but what may work as well is make a new exterior cell. And then use 'interior' models like rooms and coridors.

 

I dont know if any of the default models have windows and such. There are some in the vault section, but other than that I dont know.

I took a look at it when looking into things for Ptilly's thread. It seems like I was able to get it to work, but it is hard to tell because it seems to be covered by a bunch of overlapping "missing texture" purple overlays*, I could just see the sky through a few gaps. I tried to figure out what caused it, but couldn't figure it out. I even marked all persistant objects as deleted, changed the cell data to match the Goodneighbor Old State House (which has the sky turned on), and deleted most of the temp objects, and it still showed. I ended up deleting all of them, but that caused a ctd when I loaded the cell, and at that point I figured I spent enough time trying to figure something out for someone else.
