tVEC
Im new to ATI- used nvidia for years until recently. I have a single HIS HD 6790 IceQ X Turbo. With ENB patch I get ultra high settings for default. Great performance on full setting outside and in towns. But when I went inside I got intermittent random stuttering as I moved and looked around, most noticeably in 1st person. What worked for me was: Reducing the in game menu settings for item, grass, light and specular to about 75% each. I just assumed that since the game ran like greased ice outside with full settings it would be even better inside. However, before I did that, I did everything else you can imagine- tried Simple Borderless Window, changing the interior cell buffer, change the FOV, shadow fade distance, different ATI CCC profiles, Game AA vs CCC AAA, ATI drivers, INI settings, etc etc.... I'm not saying this will work with your rig but if it does, great. I run a i5 2500k at 3.7 Ghz and 16 GB ram at 1600Mhz on a SSD. Only problem is interior shadows now, especially the dynamic shadows from fire light. Very jaggy despite weeks of tweaks.
mengo
Same by me but I run it on a 4 year old Laptop. (9600m gt). On medium and with tweaks I get 35-40 outside even in forests and in towns. In the interiors I have 25 fps , esp when looking at candles .and they don't even give off shadows. I mean outside the tweaks I make in the ini become visible at once and I see where the limit of my rig is , respectively gaining and loosing fps , inside a house or a dungeon- a whole different story, no matter what, every time I look at a candle fps goes down. I don't think its a driver issue - already tried updating ,Are there any mods that address the way the whole lighting effect works. I understand there is a difference between shadows and lighting , for the most part shadows are working fine by me although choppy and missing even in the most logical places (fire pit in Dragonsreach), lighting however or certain types of lighting seem broken.
