billyro
Well basically, the only people who can shout in Skyrim is the Grey Beards, Ulfric Stormcloak, and Dovakhiin. There are also Draugr and Dragons who can shout. That's pretty boring. Wouldn't it be cool if you were just wandering around the wilderness and you hear "Fus Ro Dah!" coming from the distance. Then you charge over to it and an adventurer is fighting off bandits.I reckon this could lead to more things too, say that the adventurer wishes to join you if you use your thu'um in the battle. Perhaps the adventurer is jealous that you can shout too, and tries to kill you. Stuff like that. I know this would mess with lore and stuff, but it wouldn't be against it. After all, the Grey Beards are normal people who have learnt to shout. Why can't other people learn too? Also, I know that Argeir says it takes years and years to perfect. I don't believe that all shouters need to old people. So, what do you think?
OrphenFire
Yeah, cuz Ulfric went to High Hrothgar at a very young age. If orphans and other children were to train from a young age under the Grey Beards, it's reasonable that a 30-something would be fairly skilled in the Way of the Voice. DaCrazyBegga
Good training in the Way of the Voice would seem unrealistic for Adventurers, because it takes a lot of time and dedication, which is difficult when adventuring.Perhaps a traveling Monk would fit better.also these encounters do not need to be people that have been trained so early, they don´t need to be as strong as Ulfrik.i think it would be possible to encounter an adventurer who can only use the word FUS, nothing else just this base one. OrphenFire
Variety is almost always a good thing. Mix it up with novices and masters and anything between. I would like to see a questline where you are able to take on a young apprentice (in any school of magic, combat, or shouting), but that's really a different topic. huntsman2310
The original lore for Markarth said that one of the landmarks of the city was the College of the voice, although that may have just been in Tiber Septim's era.
