tazmo
Generally, second play though I have been running everywhere, only fast travelling to local areas already checked out to start a new running exploration
BareFootScholar
I walk everywhere, as you would in reality. Just like I did in modded Oblivion. I only run if my character has a reason to, like if Im fleeing for some reason or chasing someone. Realism, which is the same reason I dont walk around full clad in armor, it just doesn't make sense why someone would live in their armor. So I only wear it if Im going out to fight or something. tem1980
In reality, I would jog the majority of the time if it weren't socially unacceptable. I only desire to walk when bored, or emotionally drained. Thus, my character follows as such.
deathjam
On my warrior I jogged when out in the wilderness but in towns I walk around unless I have an urgent task to carry out. On my stealth character I sneak everywhere, making me always ready to srtike down my foes or pick a pocket or two,
sparc
edit: had a couple more inputs while i was posting this... wow not what i expected. so far the minoriity is fast traveling: Running - 5 (treated jog as run)Walking - 5 (treated first playthru as walk)Horse - 3Fast Travel - 1(i ignored the fast travel to sell/dump equipment) i do agree if you could vary the speed (hotkey type, not console) of the walking that would help bc there are times when i want to power walk and there are times when i want to just enjoy the view. It would be neat as well if skyrim had a 'sit' animation so you go indian style so you wouldn't need a chair. (like the Khajiit does outside whiterun) i've requested a campfire mod that would pitch a bed, cooking pot and a fire. I guess it could provide a chair to sit on..that would work. thanks for posting Edited December 24, 2011 by sparc
Shantih
I never fast travel. Don't ride horses much because they are a real nuisance in fights.
Roane
Run mostly in the wilderness. Rarely fast travel since overusing it to ferry loot when I was saving to buy a house.
Lifferds
Walking is so torcherously slow that I usually run, ride a horse if I think I might need to haul a lot of loot or take a cart/carriage. I never fast travel other than carts and never wait, either.
PR4Y
I fast travel from the entrance of whiterun to dragons reach.I'm that lazy. Me too :P I recently installed the enchanting table in breezehome mod, so now I don't need to go to dragonsreach anymore... but I used to do this all the time! Also, I'd rather not see that puke-face Farengar... that butt-monkey sent a hitman to attack me and left his NAME on the hit note... and he doesn't even have the balls to give me any sort of conversation options regarding it! Man, if I wasn't a frequent of Whiterun, I'd totally kill that mother lover.
djvbmd
I take a hybrid approach... fast travel some location a small to medium distance from where I'm trying to go, then walk / explore the rest of the way there.
