Kry11ic Posted December 26, 2011 Share Posted December 26, 2011 (edited) I have an AWESOME idea for a new tomb spell for the Illusion magic. TELEPORTATION! I've thought up of most everything for it. here's what I've come up with so far: -It'll have the same animation as though you're casting a familiar (the purple ball in your hand) but when you shoot it, right when it hits the ground, it'll teleport you that spot. you could also add in the effect of the giant purple ball that the familiars spawn in. -Novice level can only cast up to 10 feet away, and costs 10 points of magicka -Apprentice level can only cast up to 20 feet away, and costs 35 points of magicka -Adept level can only cast up to 30 feet away, and costs 70 points of magicka -Expert level can only cast up to 40 feet away, and costs 115 points of magicka -Master level can only cast up to 50 feet away, and costs 225 points of magicka And, because so many people have complained, you can only cast the spell at the ground, not the wall or ceiling. This will prevent "ruining" dungeons. Also, last time I checked, mods are the players choice, so if YOU download this, then it's YOUR decision to cheat your way through dungeons. So please don't sit there and complain how it will "ruin" dungeons, because it's your decision to cheat through it or not. Definitely line-of-sight.I like the purple ball for the effect.Add the option maybe to use it as a shout, maybe with Nightcrawler's "Bamf!" sound effect as the shout sound, so you don't have to worry about voice-over. The caster wouldn't be able to shoot the spell through doors or anything (spells can't go through closed bars or any of that sort, I've tried). If there's a bridge that they need to get to, they can't get the right angle to shoot the spell (considering that they'll be under it) and it's if a long drop, it won't be any different then using the Become Ethereal shout. There might be like 2 dungeons that, at a very small part in it, that they can jump through, but nothing too serious to consider it "cheating". Teleporting is possible with console commands, but won't work right unless you specify exactly where to go That being said I think it would be much easier to create a spell which creates copies of yourself much like the greybeards do during the main quest line. Doing that could work quite well & be very neat for distracting enemies. There was an Oblivion mod that created a clone follower of the player for something like 600 seconds. I *loved* that one, because A: it was useful when you needed it and B: the clone WENT AWAY when you were done.
