Wondering about Companion Share in Battlehorn Castle

So I started playing this mod, bought all the stuff and realized something was off... I can't change the armor of my castle guards, i was planning on taking one with me but, steel armor and weapons will only get you so far.

 

I have seen one mod so far that enables modders to add companion share to NPC's of choice, however that wasn't very efficient and was difficult to get working in game, the really good mods with companion share all add their own companions, (i'm abit of a purist in a sense I prefer official content over most things) and so I was wondering if any of the companion mod creators can perhaps add the ability to at least give access to the guards and the captain' inventories.

The ones who can follow you around basically.

The reason why the mod doesn't work is probably because you're not using it correctly. If you're a bit of a purist then you're a bit of a non-modder too, apparently. The problem with your request is that the mod would have to be deisolated from the DLC because it cannot legally be modified and uploaded. And there are not many people either skilled enough or willing enough to do this for just one person. Your only alternative to using a mod like Companion Share & Recruit may very well be to swallow your irrational purist beliefs and become a modder. Of course that's just my opinion but I'm entitled to that as much as you are to playing the game however you want.

Ah I see, Yeah. I do use some mods, mostly just ones that make Oblivion better without making the game any easier than it already is. If only Bethesda looked at the stuff people made for Morrowind.
