zegh8578
ive learned the hard way, that sometimes a ram stick doesnt fit, and theres nothing you can do except accept that youve just wasted money (or rather, the poor bastard who bought it for me as a gift......) i have another computer now, altho it isnt particularily new is there any way i can know for sure what kind of.. slot-type i have, without opening it up, and pulling the stick out, to check? thankyou
Illiad86
Get AIDA64 http://www.aida64.com/ Install it, then go to Motherboard then SPD...it will say what type and how much RAM you have :)

Vagrant0
Or, open the case and see the the RAM you have has any labels on it. Usually there are some tags or indicators as to what standard the memory is, especially on store-bought computers.
