invertedpanda
Don't shoot me; Skyrim has great music, but quite often when playing games I like to put on my own music (sometimes, literally, my own - I'm an indie singer/songwriter/composer/musician). This can be detrimental, however, seeing as how the music shift is sometimes the only way you know you're in combat (until you find your tail end has been handed to you). I had this idea back in Morrowind, but never got around to attempting to implement it myself (I've done some minor modding, but nothing fancy). Same with Oblivion, and now with Skyrim. The idea would be that an icon would show up denoting combat. With Skyrim's new UI, though, I wonder if something better could be done; something with the compass, perhaps? JMMcNemo
The red dot floating across the compass is a fair indicator, but I admit, far from perfect-- can't say how many times I've turned around to find a bear chewing on my head. I would not cry if there was a better "you're in combat" indicator system.
invertedpanda
Agreed. The compass does well when they're in front of you, but from behind? Good luck. An arrow in the back is almost as bad as an arrow to the knee.. ..Badump-crash.
