Kishmond
Diving into finding, downloading, installing, and configuring all the mods we want is difficult enough without having to look up a dozen different acronyms. Sometimes looking it up isn't even possible. Though many people are, not everyone is familiar with all the most popular mods or utilities relating to a game. To those who write mod descriptions: please include the full version of an acronym at least once. Even better, link to a page where we can get more information or a download! It will make your mod more accessible to confused newbies. For example, I almost didn't download a mod I was interested in because it required 'USSEP'. I wanted to avoid dependencies or script engines (which I assumed this was) in my setup so I ignored it. I only realized later that stood for 'Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch', which I already had. There may be lists of common acronyms out there, but not everyone visits the forums. In the years I have (on and off) been using the Nexus I've never come here until now. Just spell it out once. It's really easy for you and really helpful for lots of other people. JimboUK
The overuse of acronyms has been problem for many years and I don't think it's going to change anytime soon, it's like people are using old T9 phones to enter text, it's a shame because it makes modding more confusing for newcomers than it needs to be.
