These weapons all look AMAZING. I've also seen the reload animations you are (most likely) going to use for them and they are all so smooth and slick. I'm on Xbox One, so RIP space, but once (or if) this comes out on Xbox One I'm most definitely going to start a new save and start the game over again with it. Great work, I hope it's REALLY coming along now, though I understand modding struggles.

Thanks. :)

As it happens the USAS-12 texturing is coming along well. The baking was a bit more fiddly than I'd hoped - I'm trying some new things there and had to work some kinks out of the workflow. I think I've got the base materials done now, and have started on the wear and tear. The Substance Painter file is 3.7GB and climbing, yeesh.

Is there any plan to release this on Xbox one? Because ive looked for a mod like this for a long time.

I've added info on this to the FAQ in the second post, because I do get asked this a lot.

Edit: Oh, and thanks everyone. :) I'm hard at work, but there's a lot of work to do.

The USAS-12 textures are done, finally:

- USAS-12 06

- USAS-12 07

- USAS-12 08

- USAS-12 09

- USAS-12 10

Shots of it in Substance Painter there.

To recap, the USAS-12 replaces the Combat Shotgun. The base low-poly mesh was by Pete3D, which I made a number of edits to and then created the high-poly from. And then textured. The buffer tube, bayonet lug, carry handle RIS mount and Salvo 12 suppressor are all things I did from scratch myself.

On the suppressor: Its design means that it would block under-barrel attachments (bayonets, laser sight, tactical light), so I'm going to try having it attached upside down when an under-barrel attachment is present.

Anyway; this is the first time I've textured an entire weapon from scratch in Painter. (Rather than just an attachment, or making additions to existing weapon textures.) I've still got a lot to learn, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Next up is getting it in-game.

Hi, I came here after coming across your M203 video. As someone who loves WWI-Present firearms, I like to imagine a Fallout universe with real-world weapons. Now, I'm quite curious about some things.

Recievers...

Will there be a jam feature? And will weapon/receiver condition affect chances of jamming?

Will receivers affect recoil and stability?

A bit on ammo...

Will weapons be able to be modified between ammo types? (e.g. 9mm to .45 ACP)

Something I really can't shake even though you've probably thought about it - ammo commonality. Will there be any conventional (non .50, explosives, or special) types of ammo belonging to a single weapon? (e.g. 5.45x39mm only used by the AK-74). Understandably, unconventional, military-grade, or outdated weapons may have less common ammo, but it would feel awkward, if, say, .45 ACP may be common but can only be used by one weapon.

Will there be increased crafting requirements? It takes serious intellect and equipment to take some screws and scrap metal to just scramble together a functional, factory-grade, M16 barrel with M203 attatchment.

Possibly goofy question, but additional weapons mods will hopefully be compatible? I read your bit on additional mods. Anything using, say, 10mm will likely flunk, but would for example the Browning Hi-Power by Deadpool2099/Ha_ru/Hitman47101 place nice? (Theoretically it should, even if it has to use "separate" 9mm ammo.)

To follow, will you make any compatibility patches?

Thank you for making this mod. WARS looks very fun and promising, and I look forward to more development.
