seweryn
Since my gpu broke,I am considering on buying new graphic card.So it is either 1050ti or rx 470 or 1060 3 GB ( really not sure about this one ).Both 1050ti and rx 470 have 4GB of vram. Will that one gb of vram make a difference if i want to heavy mod the game.In my country i have to pay additional 45-50$ to get 1060 3GB.So is it worth picking the 1060 3GB despite it having less ram then rx 470 and 1050ti.Thanks for the info.Cheers,
Novem99
For a lot of HD textures + ENB at least 4GB when playing in 1080p. If you want to play in 4k then even 4GB VRAM won't be sufficient.

Novem99
All mods that add textures in 2k or even 4k to the game.
goranpaa
I would'nt run a card with less than 4gb of VRAM. My old Radeon 270X with 2 gb of VRAM could'nt cope in the end of my moddding frency  And then I used only max 2K textures. No Enb though. Still, when running the MSI Afterburner program OSD, It showed that in the most graphics intence exteriours the game used up to 2.6 gb of VRAM. This on high settings that is. And a 1080 P monitor. This also showed up as stutter in these areas. Besides, you will sooner or later maybe want to play Skyrim Special edition? That can use a lot of RAM and VRAM when modded. My Radeon 380 4 gb use at the most 3.2 - 3.4 gb of VRAM now and then in SSE. And then i do not have any really graphics intence mods installed.Without beeing a Radeon fanboy, I think the RX 470 is the better card performance vise compaired to the GTX 1050. At least that is what some compairative tests says. Only the fact that the Nvidia card have a 128 megabit memory bus and the RX 470 have a 256 megabit dito says a lot. The 128 mbit bus will be a bottleneck for the VRAM no matter if you have a lot of it on the the card. Edited November 29, 2016 by goranpaa
