Meldiocre
Hi again everybody. You have all been so nice to me whenever I ask a question, here's hoping the trend continues. :) I love love love Apachii's wigs mod, and I would LOVE to be able to shove one of the wigs onto my character's head as just a normal hair, not a changeable item or an amulet slot. Please tell me there is a way to do this in the construction set? If it matters, I play a custom race that I made using bits and pieces from other mods, and I'm not in any way going to ever steal anyone's work or anything. It's just for me personally to have fun and enjoy the game with. :) :)
Mahtawa
I THINK it works just as normal hair, well it is RIGGED so i have no idea how it turns out but i tried to do these things with other wigs. I'm not sure how it worked really but you could try it: Fire up CS - click your race (set as active) - load all required stuff needed for your race. *wait* - Go to character - hair - create new - find wig, choose hairs texture (if you dont know what it is, use nifskope for help) - set whatever you want (use female, male, playable etc) - dont close!open your race - body data - drag hair from hair window to race window hair menu and your pretty much done. close all windows - save. In short.
Meldiocre
I really appreciate your reply. But, eek, she ended up bald! Could this be an issue of me getting the texture wrong? I thought I did it right... The hair is just so gorgeous, it's anto80 ice and it looks so perfect. I'm going to be really thrilled if i can get this working. The whole wig thing hurts my immersion somewhat (nerdy, right?). Hrm, guess I'll give this another shot.. Any other reason why she would just be straight up bald? Mahtawa
Texture probs. maybe? Did you use 80_iceh.dds as texture? Problem also can be that it's not "real hair". (missing egm and other files)You could google anto / coolsims? hair 80 (for OBLIVION because they are sims custom models) and see if that works. I don't know, i got my hair to work but it had serious alpha problems whiiich could have been easy to solve but i was too lazy to mess with photoshop.. (There is a faster blender / nifskope method for my problem but.. reason stated XD)
Meldiocre
Ah, that's a great idea. I do have Coolsims already, I'll try it that way. I think you're right about it being an egm file issue. I'm not too lazy, I just don't know how to do any of the stuff you just said. I'm following a CS tutorial right now, but nifskope absolutely makes my head spin. I don't have a programming or artistic background or anything, I just really love videogames. :*( But you are a prince for helping me, thank you sooo very much. LFact
If you want to use (rigged)wigs as hair, you have to re-rig the mesh with blender or 3DS.
Meldiocre
Not something a novice can just do, I would imagine. Ok, wigs it is. :o
