They take on the meshes and textures you use, so my male has Super Hero Bodies mesh and Simple Male Redux textures and the female has Atomic Beauty mesh and CBBE textures. If you are more advanced with texturing you can mix and match the different maps to see how tattoos or glossy skin would look on a mannequin.
