Ladez
I don't think I've ever downloaded an ESP or ESM file that weren't packed into an archive of some sort, so I don't really see what your problem is. The GECK should only be associated with ESP and ESM files, not 7Z, ZIP, RAR or whatever.
Mktavish
Hmmm ... so you are saying that you dropped your archives into the Data Folder of "FalloutNV" install location ?And now the geck has taken over their file association ? Sounds pretty odd.But I wouldn't put those kind of archives in there. Put them in a different folder for NMM to access ... then I think your mod manager does the unzipping and places them in the Data folder as they should be. Of course I never use a mod manager to install , just sort , enable and launch. So not really sure about that. But I always unzip first , then drop stuff in the Data folder. If you can't reassociate those files back to Zips or whatever. Then I guess you may have to just re-download them. dubiousintent
At first I was confused as to what you were describing. But Mktavish seems to have the right idea, Somehow you have changed the Windows "default file association" of the archive extensions to GECK. See this article or any of those you find searching on that term for how to switch them back. You will need to do so for each extension which changed to GECK. -Dubious- Edited November 30, 2016 by dubiousintent
