[LE] Courier Issue

so i've gone through ever tutorial i can find on the entire internet (including Youtube and the creation kit site) and I just cants see to work it out. I want to simply make the courier hand my player a custom letter (well a journal used as a letter) saying the "from a friend" dialog ,closest i've found for tutorials is one explaining how to turn it into a quest with quest stages etc but it gets confusing when he starts talking about putting markers on a barstool etc to progress quest when all I want is for the courier to deliver a simple letter.

 

if someone could shown me exactly what i'm supposed to do here if I duplicate the couriers delivery letter from a friend quest somehow so I can just swap in my letter or do it from scratch that would be very helpful, every tutorial i've found doesn't help me.

This is the best tutorial for using the vanilla courier I have used. And I go back to it for reference if I have issues. Follow it step by step and your courier will work.

I tried that tutorial but it sets it up as a quest from an npc since my letter is from someone who is not an npc (just a name really no actual character at this point) it does not really work especially once I get to the final stage with properties it wont allow me to add them.

 

I don't want it as something that triggers any quest I just want the courier to deliver the letter to my character that is all

(tried this out and if i use console commands to spawn the book i will give me the words "to my closest friend" and thats all)

<b><Alias=AliasName> I know this comes as a surprise ,for both of us honestly. You know I've never been great at writting these things but this is important. So, I'm alive (obviously) and I'm sorry that it took me so long to write to you (a year and yet it feels like a life time) I know you must've thought I died that day but I didn't because as it turns out the blade that cut me ,it had some rare poison on it that both paralyzed me and masked my vital signs so much that even a highly skilled mage couldn't have detected it (though a necromancer probably would figure it out when my corpse wouldn't respond to their spells)

Those supposed bandits were actually khajiit agents of working for the Thalmor, their Justiciars took me in for questioning...

Torturing

They'd mistaken me for a rogue altmer back in Alinor (guess it's true what they say about us altmer all looking so similar that even our own kind can't differentiate between ourselves) once they’d realized after a few weeks I wasn't who they were looking for it was too late, I'd heard things I couldn't be allowed to know and they'd planned on executing me.

Through some stroke of luck (the kind of which you always had) I narrowly missed my execution. The day they had planned for my execution, a group of nordic Talos worshipper Stormcloaks were hauled in unexpectedly one of them (who previously had their axe confiscated) hit the Thalmor party hard with a spell soon a couple of the other nords were also hitting them with a volley of spells. I found out later (once they had freed all the prisoners in the cells) they weren't actually Stormcloaks at all but highly skilled mages ,mercenaries and former soldiers all anti Thalmor who on a strategic gamble had allowed themselves to get captured so they could strike from the inside of that particular Thalmor outpost (knife to the heart so to speak)

My first thought was to track you down <Alias=AliasName> (certain you'd have outrun them, you were always lucky enough for such a thing) however during the fight my cage was opened and I'd picked up a blade and fought the leader saw my skills and requested as a favor for freeing me if I would join them, I couldn't say no they had saved my life.

I'd planned on staying only to repay my debt to them and then join you once I had done enough to clear that debt I didn't at that time care for revenge even after their torture . At least that had been then, I've seen things since that day so many atrocities covered up by the Thalmor and even the Legion...they don't just want to conquer man (which in itself was bad enough) they want to remove them from ever existing and place themselves back among the Aedra. Even I can't turn away from that.<Alias=AliasName>, you as well as anyone know I never felt much kinship with other altmer but what they're doing the disgrace it will bring our race even trying let alone everything it would destroy...

I'm sorry once again <Alias=AliasName>, I can't tell you any more than this even though I want to the less you know about what we are doing the safer you'll be from the Thalmor (for now at least) besides up in Skyrim I gather you have more than enough troubles, with dragons the as the rumors say and from what I'm told you also survived an unintentional execution (just your blessing or curse if you want to look at it that way) specifically saved by a dragon which I'd like to say that part isn't true ,but knowing you <Alias=AliasName> that part it is so unbelievable it has to be true. For everything that could ever be said of the two of us one thing will never change, that no matter what the Aedra or Daedra or anyone else throw at us, somehow we always survive it.

Duty calls me away hopefully to Skyrim at some point until then I'll keep sending these missives when I can.

No quest triggers or anything just a letter delivered to me as soon as I get near any of the couriers usual letter delivery triggers i'm hoping for something simple I can just pretty much copy paste so I can make more letter (journals) delivered at a later date.
