jkrojmal
Hello Everyone. I have this problem when loading Doc Mitchell's or Goodsprings General Store. Looks like the NPC and items on the cell load at the same point that my avatar spwans , watch the Youtube video link below for a better explanation.I'm running in Windows 7, over 70 mods, tried making a Merge patch, Master Update, last time that I visit those locations was back at the beginning of the game, and I'm 25 Hrs in, any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1K8JEv7OshU&feature=youtu.be Update: looking bad, it also happens at helios one, a gas station near the NCR Mojave outpost and the Primm house where E-DE is. potatosamurai
I've had this exact same problem, and I have an even more extreme number of mods loaded (last count was >114 files). The areas I encounter it include the Monte Carlo Hotel and the Camp McCarran Supply Shack. I've made a merged patch. potatosamurai
EUREKA! It turns out the issue was too many entries identical to their masters; after using FNVEdit's "remove entries identical to master", the interiors loaded correctly. Over 1500 such entries were found; admittedly, I accidentally included the main ESM's (falloutnv.esm, DLCs, packs) in the process, and had to use backups. Part of the issue with solving this problem was that FNVEdit's filter was poorly documented; first, I followed the instruction given by the error message after clicking "remove identical etc" and ran a filter with only "Conflict status inherited by parent" checked, which just kicked back a pointer exception. Then, I followed the instructions in the FNV Manual, which told me to click three boxes including the aforementioned. The filter ran, but the "remove identical" command didn't work still; same "run a filter..." message. So I ran another filter, on top of the previous, with only "Conflict status inherited by parent" checked. THEN AND ONLY THEN did it finally work. There's still many, many locations that do not work correctly. I only really fixed Goodsprings General and a few others; I assume that if I merge some mods, I might end up with the same effect. Gotta figure out Wrye's Bash or whatever it's called now... Edited May 8, 2012 by potatosamurai
Reavenant
It's simple: Open the FNVEdit tool, then use this link *** http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout:_New_Vegas_cell_ID *** to find out the cell's ID, find it in FNVEdit and use it's version from the FalloutNV.ESM as a "deep override copy" into a new esp file. Making this will overwrite any conflicting records while preserving (mostly) things added from other mod files
