LE Help! Simple mod for my Girlfriend <3

Hello everyone, I know there are so many talented people on this forum. Thank everyone so much for the content you create for us. I have a simple request. I recently purchased Skyrim Special Edition for PlayStation 4. I'm enjoying the game very much, and all the mods some of you have released for the PS4. My girlfriend is enjoying watching me play as well. She was disappointed when we learned we could not rename followers. She would enjoy watching the game even more If she could be questing along side me as a follower. I know its a lot to ask for, but If anyone is willing please feel free to contact me on this post. Thank you all for your hard work , and making Skyrim even more awesome for so many. <3

I'm certainly not an expert, but I believe changing an NPC's name in the CK should be relatively simple to do yourself (assuming the new CK is similar to what I've seen for the FO4), not to mention more meaningful. You could even go a step further and make a new follower or edit a standard follower to use a custom face without too much trouble, I imagine.

Though this is one you'll probably have to do yourself, I'm sure people would be willing to answer questions about how to go about it.

Thanks for responding to my post, I don't have much experience using mod tools for PC. I could give it a shot. If It is easy as you are suggesting it could be. If anyone else reads this post and could recommend a guide to this suggested solution, I would be extremely grateful!

I haven't touched npc creation yet, so if you want to create your own follower I can't really help.

This tutorial seems quite detailed, so you should be fine as long as you don't want to do too much fancy stuff.

 

If you don't have any experience with the ck, and you can't make any sense of it, (I had this problem the first time I've started it) I recommend you read this tutorial first https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Category:Getting_Started

Maybe this looks complicated, or like you would've to put much effort into it at the first glance - but if you're happy with just renaming an existing follower, all you would have to do is open the ck, creating your own new mod, open the specific follower, and change the name tag (under the ID tag)

It may or may not yet be ported over to SSE (since you are on the Original Skyrim Forums with this Post),

but you could always request it to be ported over & to PS4 specifically.
