Is there any mod out there that would replace the ambient background music for Fallout 3 (not what's played on the radio) with that of the music in Fallout 4? I really loved FO4's ambient soundtrack and would love to explore the Capital Wasteland while listening to the same haunting yet remarkably beautiful music.

I know there is a mod in existance that places FO3's music in FO4, but I'm looking for something that does the opposite. If it helps, I already have FO4 isntalled on my computer and thus have all the same music files for it -- since a mod like this wouldn't be able to use/distribute the exact sound files, per se.

Any help out there from the community would be greatly appreciated!

Basically you just need to learn how to unpack and re-pack the sound asset archives.

So without having to do any geck work ... you just replace the sound track contained in the ambient music file you want to replace. Make sure it is the same format everything ... then keep the same name location.

This is of course just for your own personal use.

Legal source ,legit source, Ideas are born From that source, it's the Original source.

No, there is no mistake. Leave it alone.

So you mean to say ... unless you get the legal permission for distribution. Someone should not bother with re packaging for their own personal use ?

Well that's just stupid ... and I will be informing people on how they can use the tools to manipulate the assets they were given legal permission to use.

Stoking the fires does no one any good here hun, you know what web site this is and the rules, did you read the OP word for word?

Taking me out of context does you more harm than good. There are rules here. Please abide by them.

Don't put words into my posts either, that's not a good approach either.

How can I be putting words in your post if I was asking a legitimate question of your meaning ?

The OP yes ... was clearly asking if there was a mod transfereing F04 music to F03 ... and they simple mindedly think because there were mods doing the reverse would think automatically it would be OK. Which I in no way said was or should be OK ... in fact I expicitly said it would be only for personal use.

But the question still remains ... how do you replace the back ground music files for Fo3 , no matter what is being stuffed in there. And that is what I am speaking to.

I don't really see why legal issues need to come into it.

To be clear ... I wasn't calling you stupid ... I was saying my understanding of your inference was stupid.

The idea that someone cannot change their background music to what ever they want for personal use.

Heck someone could capture the sound in game and then do what ever with that file.

Sorry I'll take more care in how my words may come across in the future.
