Is it me or did the last patch somehow make Master Level Difficulty ea

I dk... i wasn't going t post this b/c it seemed silly, but at level 35 I was still getting my rear end handed to me by bandit pillagers etc. even with 400 armor, at least if there were like three of them in a room. It seemed like they could cause about 100-150 points per strike. Now, I can take on four draugr wights, deathlords, scourges, etc. at once, without breaking a sweat. My armor and stuff has stayed mostly the same for the last 10 levels so what gives? Did a few extra levels really make that much difference or did they lower the master level difficulty somehow in the last patch? anyone else experience anything weird like that? or maybe I got more powerful than I remember?

Master difficult has always been a bit to easy. So it is probability that your skills have improved a bit. 10 levels is about 50-100 more hp too so that could make a big difference. Still I only had difficulty at the early levels of master difficult. Once you get gear things become very easy.

I think it is about game balance, and of course how you play the game, uplevelling using smithing etc. can ruin the balance making it much easier.

I played the second time through without using levelling techniques and not using a partner, initially at Master, but had to drop back to expert due to having to replay some of the fights. I also needed to run away until I beefed up a bit where the odds were too hard for me. The first time through I spent ages smithing and enchanting but it became a breeze at Master so I restarted having reached level 44. But I suppose it depends on how good you are at the game as well

thanks for the feedback. Up until about now, I found Master very challenging. I had very few enchantments and they were light for the most part. I had good armor but not good enough I guess - superior steel plate. A total armor rating of around 250 for the longest time, though now it's up to 450 and with spells before combat over 500. I found brigand pillagers could take out 1/2 my hitpoints with a two handed attack until very recently. strange. i dk, maybe the hours just slipped by and i became more powerful than i believe, lol. i just remember 10 levels ago the game was still very challenging and i was spending so much on potions, now not hardly any at all.

Also, I notice that the last 10 levels in increased stamina instead of health - i didn't think that would matter, but having a few extra power attacks really seems to tip battles. most people go down by the time i run out of stamina now.

Actually, I found master level easy as well... especially as a melee heavy type character. My second playthrough, I created a mage type just to see if the game is more difficult since I'm more "squishy" without heavy armor and massive melee damage capabilities. To my disappointment, it was only sort of challenging around the earlier levels. At higher levels, playing as a mage type is a bit more challenging because you do less damage, but it's not hard. Once you get impact perk, along with enchanting two effects, it's even easier. I actually did not get any real challenges until I installed Deadly Dragons and the PISE mods. Deadly Dragons make dragons pretty close to how fearsome and powerful the TES legends said they were; plus there's an option to make dragons resistant to impact and stuns.
