Enb question

So I installed all the mods that Realvision asked me to and then started up skse but nothing changed so I went and checked why and turns out I forgot to install ENB. I will I need to uninstall all the mods and then install enb and then reinstall the mods again? I tried installing the wrapper version but the d3dll was making skyrim crash. So yeah can you tell me why?

The mods listed on the Realvision page should be seen as suggestions only. Lots of texture replacers (which will look nice with a lot of ENB presets or even without ENB), a choice between the two most popular lighting overhauls, a recommended weather mod (COT). Technically you don't need a single one of these mods to get ENB working. So no - you don't have to reinstall all these mods.

Try uninstalling Realvision and ENB itself (delete enbhost.exe, d3d9.dll and any file or folder that starts with "enb"), then try reinstalling: First install ENB (wrapper version, copy d3d9.dll an enbhost.exe only!), then the Realvision files. Follow the instructions to the point. Also check, if you got the tweaks listed on the Realvision page in your enblocal.ini and your skyrim.ini.

Also check your SKSE ini (usually found in YourskyrimDirectory\Data\SKSE). If the value of "defaultHeapInitialAllocMB" is higher than 768, set "ExpandSystemMemoryX64" in your enblocal.ini to "false". This way you'll eliminate one of the most common causes of CTDs in connection with ENB.

Be sure not to run any overlay programmes while using ENB. No Steam overlay, no overlays from graphics card driver or whatever. All these programmes tend to make ENB crash.

In case ENB still doesn't work after reinstalling, anyone willing to help will need more input: Operating system, load order, installed mods, Skyrim.ini, SkyrimPrefs.ini, enblocal.ini, SKSE.ini There's literally hundreds of things that can cause Skyrim to CTD.

ENB can be installed or uninstalled at any time without issues. Except ones the require a certain weather preset to look as intended. Like NLVA. In that cause they can still be removed but a new game would be advised.

Refer to gamer poets video on installing real vision. He used it for awhile.
