Moraelin
Nah, he's been turned into a cyborg after joining the institute. Again, read the terminals in the institute. You'd be surprised how many questions are actually answered in the game.
snapper69
Who wants to be reading boring terminals when you can be killing people. I agree that you can get a lot of info from terminals, but it's soooooooooooo boring.
Moraelin
Sure. I'm guessing that's why Beth essentially made it optional by putting it on terminals or, in TES, in books. So if you're not, shall we say, one of the Moth Monks, dedicating your life to reading and figuring out elder scrolls, you can just get back to killing dudes. Perfectly fine. But then people come and say that this or that is some Beth inconsistency, when in fact it's just them who chose not to look for the answer. Seems to me like if someone decided to not bother their head with it, well, they could just stick to not bothering their head with it, and go back to killing dudes
snapper69
My wife says that I overthink things, but computer games are not one of those things, I love playing FO4, but don't bother too much with the minutiae. If there are inconsistencies, so what, as long as I get to kill things/people. I play games for fun, but that's not to say that I don't get involved. On one occasion I saw a Minutemen patrol being attacked by Raiders, I ran down to help and Dogmeat attacked 2 of the raiders, who hit and kicked him until he fell down, I shot one of the raiders then emptied a full clip into the face of the other, reloaded and did the same again, all whilst saying "DON'T YOU KICK MY F*****G DOG". Moraelin
Well, you were not the one who implied a Bethesda inconsistency, so you're really not my problem. All I'm saying is that people who've decided to not think too much about the whys and whats of the game, well, they can stick to not thinking too much about it, rather than fill in their own blanks and then blame Beth when the result doesn't match. Basically, all I'm saying is that if what you like is shooting raiders in the face, keep doing what you like :p
Athanasa
[snip] So I can't think of a way to write this that couldn't be interpreted as confrontational, so I'll just get it out: Please STOP posting by putting your own line breaks in instead of letting the website handle it. It's visually extremely hard to read and follow on the PC as most of the lines aren't even the same length, making it either look like you're writing the lyrics to a song or ever line is a new sentence. It's even worse on mobile - my particular mobile displays it so that your 'custom lines' actually cover one and a half lines, so posts end up looking like this... Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Sedaliquam pulvinarligula, eget dignissim ex luctus aliquam. Donec et massa sitamet nisl auctorcommodo quis at tortor. Aliquam tellus dolor, feugiat necacus nec, elementumommodo nunc. Aenean sit amet pretium nisi. Class aptenttaciti sociosqu ad Apart from this being latin nonsense, it's incredibly hard to follow. Please, don't do this. I for one can't get more than a few sentences into your post before I just give up from the struggle of trying to work it out. Athanasa
Apparently the above was taken as a massive personal attack. It was not meant as such. Look, it's basic 101 for dealing with people. If you make something hard to pay attention to we won't read it. Your content could be the cure to all our woes, but if it's formatted in such a way that it's really hard to read then 80%+ of people will skip it. Do you want your posts read? If so, change your format. Edited December 26, 2016 by Athanasa

TheSpaceShuttleChallenger
This is a character whose parents weren't really there for him, who lost his wife and kid under tragic circumstances, needed money bad and ended up working for a ruthless, self-serving faction. Then he decided to take responsibility for his own life, risked his ass to leave the bad guys, start working for the good guys and save the lives of people who depend on him, and fights the good fight for the remainder of the game.I'm talking about MacCready of course. Kellogg is just an asshole who decided, in a world where everyone has a tragic backstory, that he was going to 'cope' by killing droves of innocent people. That said, none of the 'evil villains' in Fallout4 feel particularly evil considering that half the people in Fallout's universe are raiders and gunners that try to kill literally anybody they see.
