Yeah, it's Skyrim all right--THE COURIER BUG IS BACK!

I find it rather annoying when I start a new game (ran LOOT, ran Wrye Bash, and I did clean with SSEedit) and, just as I step out of the house Alternate Start got me, get ambushed by that which cannot be survived, the freaking Inheritence Bug!

 

Let me be blunt; As I was JUST STARTING, there was no way in hell I should have had that happen. This is a bug that made oldrim MISERABLE, and I seriously want it gone.

 

My suggestion for a bugfix or a mod, DISABLE INHERITENCE.

Well, I went back to a completely different start. Home ownership? Nah. I went with camping. Did the whole shtick of investigating Helgen. Guess What Happened! when I approached Riverwood? That same Inheritance dude, and it's always the same courier, freezing the game up again.

 

I'll beg.

 

I'll plead.

 

I'll even stop trying to buy pig parts for recreating the Black Sacrament with Donald Trump in mind!

 

SOMEONE KILL THE DAMN INHERITANCE!

I am 88 hours in & I have not had the Inheritance letter yet.

 

In the old game they were very rare to me.

 

My games old & new it is the Afflicted Refugee that seems to be on every road.

I have never had the Inheritance Letter work properly because none of my runs killed many NPCs unless I was doing the Dark Brotherhood.

 

I do find the Afflicted Refugee within six hours every time, though...
