Craftsmen Commissioning Mod

SQ5

Recommended Posts

Basically, allow NPCs to craft/enchant/brew specific potions on request as long as you have the materials and money (at an extra cost depending on strength/value of the end result).

Such a mod already exists in the normal Skyrim, but has yet to exist for SE.

If anyone is willing to have their own take on it, please do so, otherwise my take is below.

Different smiths means different levels of skill or kinds of weapons. For instance regular smiths might be good at between iron-steel classes of weapons and armor, while others may be skilled at Elven and Orcish.

Uniquely Eorland Grey-mane being the best in all of Skyrim, can craft and improve weapons and armor as if he had all perks and maximum smithing. Of course, for his commission work, it might cost much more, even when ordering iron/steel.

I guess in a sense, this'd be like having a market of tailors in real life. All can provide something, but some may have a branding to go with it like Eorland with his top notch fame.

In the case of Enchanting...

All of it will be able to be done by any Court Mage, but you won't get the highest quality unless you go to the College of Winterhold.

I'm imagining some option to adjust strength of enchantment, and essentially you can have it insanely strong if you have the gold to afford it.

And as for brewing...

Any alchemy teacher, and potion store can provide the services. Perhaps each day they can commission brew you a certain number of health/stamina/magicka potions for only the cost of gold rather than requiring materials, so if you're ever in need to restock, you don't have to hope they have the potions you're looking for.

This honestly would not require any new NPCs to be made, just new dialogue options.

Agree with this idea. Still hadn't understand why my mage should be able making high-end smithwork, and why my warrior with two handed-sword should be the perfect alchemist to.

Ordering some upgrade in this way would be great, and lot more immersive i think.

So let's waite, and hope !
