exactly what the title says. I would love more CotA objects, for example spilled nuclear waste, those skulls filled with glowing stuff from far harbor, radiation barrels, large patches of static glowing plants, maybe radioactive light sources like the fusion cores from Atoms Judgement, place-able sources of radiation....I love the CotA atmosphere, but the far harbor stuff was extremely limited if you want to make CotA themed settlements.

Far Harbor Decor by Dennisbam23

The Monolith by Ethreon While it's based off 2001 Space Odyssey, it's a good catch all and can be used for decoration or atmosphere.

 

If you look at Children of Atom Overhaul Images you'll see the Far Harbor decor and Monolith in action. Sadly the throne is not able to be activated to sit on.

 

I forgot which mod adds it, maybe Far Harbor Decor, but the skulls and fusion cores become craftable objects if I remember correctly.

 

Truthfully, I'm neutral to all the factions, but I started working on the Children of Atom overhaul when I seen that people really like the Children of Atom. It just started out as a Crater of Atom settlement because I really like the atmosphere especially combined with Natural, Atmospheric Commonwealth.

Currently Investigating/Working
Vanilla
• Currently, I have permission from Emissary of Wind to incorporate the Children of Atom Zealot paint for the T-60 Power Armor.
• I'm waiting for permission Atom's Redeemer paint for T-51 power armor.

 

Far Harbor
• Currently I have permission for Neagoe's fix for the Far Harbor Marine's boots fix and for mm137's Glowing Marine Armor.
• Awaiting permission for using Atom's Blessing perk gained through a quest in Far Harbor. The perks gives immunity to radiation, also variations for resistance instead of immunity.
• Awaiting permission to incorporate Atom's Gift player home in the Nucleus.

• Gather information about Cambridge Crater as settlement. Apparently the radiation is so high there, at least lore-wise, that everyone gets turned to ghouls. If I can learn how to create quests properly, you could clear the ghouls and set up around the Crater.
• Potentially flatten terrain in rings around Crater of Atom to allow small buildings like what I have in my screenshots, except without having to use extended prefabs.
• Add Jalbert Brothers' Disposal as settlement, even better if I can make a quest to clear the molerats and then make it okay.
• Turn brahmin recruitment off for the 3 craters as well as attacks due to radiation level.
• Allow brahmin and attacks for Jalberts & Kingsport.
• Potentially using scripts or quests to unlock settlements, the beacon, faction relationship improvements, and potential radiation resistance and/or immunity.
• Preferably all of this should flow naturally with Far Harbor and then figure out how to do a vanilla only version of this (which is currently what the plugin is using).

Discarded Ideas
• Discarded Hugo's Hole as a potential site for Children of Atom, because even though it has high radiation, lore-wise, Hugo went there because of the Dunwhich presence, and it is too small for anything.
• Discarded Mass Fusion Containment Shed as a potential site for Children of Atom because of Nuka-World radiant quest involving the Super Mutants there.
