Toggle Not Quite Immortal Mode

So...reloading is sometimes a *censored*...mainly because the loading screen likes to be (at least with me) random and load slower at sometimes than others.

Soooo.....it'd be cool to see if someone could create a mod that made you "immortal", but when you "die", a cutscene (similar to that of the one when you are flung across the room by Unrelenting Force, or fall too far on a horse) initiates, at which point the only control you have over your character is to crawl about, or you can drink a potion, if you have one. No spell casting, no weapon use. Just like all the other npcs who are immortal.

Especially since I put Deadly Dragons in...and MAN...are THOSE deadly dragons...DEADLY deadly dragons. Wow.

So yeah. It's just a thought I had that wanted to share.

I've had experience with 'nearly' immortal modes before. In Half Life 2 there's a command called Buddha where you have limited ammo and everything but you cant drop below 1 hp, at first it was alright and i played the game normally, but soon i grew accustomed to never dying and nothing felt risky anymore, taking hits was easy because i was never scared of dying. It's basically just a more troublesome version of god mode. It works in your mind but you lose the adrenaline rush in fights if you know you'll never really die. What I suggest is making the player do what followers do. When you take a hit that should kill you, instead of dying you drop to your knee and have one last second to drink a potion or do something, in this mode human opponents should attack other standing opponents and only attack you if they have nobody else to attack, but if they do attack you or if you continue to be killed then you should die, reload and everything.

That's pretty much exactly what I said. But yeah, I quess it'd be better if the enemy did the same thing they did to your companion by going after the next person..but then...that'd kinda require multiple companions hehehe.

I think if it were a mod that just made it a little harder to die all at once, it'd be cool. And by "a little harder" it's defined as basically what you and I said. Except I left the die part out...because I just waiting 2 minutes for the damn thing to reload during this friggin' dragon fight...

If anything, maybe just crank up the default health regen, but that can be done on your own. I'd kinda like to experience the same thing as everybody else in Skyrim though, and look like I'm in agony......they seem a helluva lot tougher than me (even the companions who can die) because they seem to be stickin' it to the very end...and I just flop down...or fly into the air and die. :wallbash:

Orrrrrrr.....you could add a consequence to this: You won't die, but each time you are brought to your knees your Stamina decreases by 5, permanently.

Then most people would prefer loading anyway. I think something like reducing maximum hp and stamina by 30% for an hour would be better, that way if you do get back up you're still disadvantaged by your near death but it's not something permanent. If it was permanent then eventually people would have either 0 stamina or they'd just load the game to avoid having their stamina lessened permanently.
