xxxSkullbanexxx
Hello everyone , i'm new to modding so i decided to ask some help from you guys to solve my problem. What i want to do is to change the Meshes and Textures that some mods replace. For instance , a mod that replaces the Leather Armor with something new. How can i change the armor that replaces (meaning the Leather one) , with some other for example the Hide Armor ?
fenrir7139
Change the name of the mesh/texture; for example: Leather Armor Mesh: leatherarmor.nifHide Armor Mesh: hidearmor.nif Note that these aren't the REAL names. You'll also want to get a hold of the BSA extractor.

Thanks for your reply , so the problem is that i got a BSA Extractor but when i open the meshes.bsa it's full of meshes and has many differend meshes for hide armor. Which ones do i need to rename excactly ? :S

Which ones do i need to rename excactly ? :S There named fairly consistently (though not always, so some common sense is needed) usually by part i.e. armortypeboots, armortypegaunelets, armortypecuirass, plus they usually have an ' f ' or ' m ' corresponding to female or male with a "**** _0 .nif " (skinny version) or "**** _1.nif " (fat version) for weight slider consistency. As far as hide armor is concerned, I haven't looked at that one, but I know there are several different versions, so you'll have to extract all of them and see which one you want to swap (usually open them in Nifskope and have a looksee) Edited January 5, 2012 by Perraine
