Unable to Install Oblivion

When I insert the CD it doesn't auto play and when I click at the setup, it give me an error like this,

 

G:\ is not a valid Win32 application

 

:confused: so what am I facing here?

What is your Operating System, Vista or Xp?

Have you tried completely uninstalling the game through the guide link that I've posted in my thread, "Problems with Reinstalling Oblivion?" It worked perfectly for me, and if there are any problems then I'm sure there is someone on this forum that has had a similar problem to yours.

I'm not really familiar with a few of the specs you just listed, but could it be a problem that your DX (is it short for DirectX ?) parameters can't be found? If that is important and it can't set up, then isn't that something to check? Just a shot in the dark though. I'm not familiar wiht those last few things.

Those parameters do not come from the Oblivion disk. DirectX is a driver program needed by Windows for certain video functions. First, your graphics card must support directx 9 at a minimum for Oblivion to work at all. Its available from the Microsoft download site. download and install Directx then try to load Oblivion again. If your video supports it, directx 10 is out also.
