Vanilla illusion spells are completely useless! Spells like calm and frenzy have hoorible level caps.

Could someone replace all illusion spells that have level restrictions with versions of the same spells all tiers that have no level cap at all but instead maybe add a buff effect after the spell wears off on the target that makes it immune to the affects for a few seconds then the buff falls off and you can cast it on them again. Making each tier last longer until master and add master versions that have no cool down and last either indefinite or make them channeling spells and last as long as you channel them.

I absolutely love the illusion school but Bethesda royally dropped the ball with these vanilla spells. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

With every perk and a few bonus items the max you'll ever effect is in the mid 40s and that's if your lucky. With the new respec legendary thing, which I use the word "new" loosely you can get way beyond the original vanilla release level cap. And illusion spells NEVER got updated. If you do literally nothing but illusion spells from character creation then the level cap spells will come available when your the appropriate level. However, if you get exp from any other skill, you will achieve the illusion level cap spells way after their level cap. I tried carefully to only concentrate on illusion skill, and by the time I got my first level cap spell it capped at level 9, I was level 14.

Now NPCs level with you but I'm aware at level 14 not all will be level 14 as well but you can even at that early level see the viability of these level cap spells going right out the window. Please, please, someone make this mod. I'd even pay/donate for this!

Ah, I think I see the problem. You're single-casting the spells. You need to get the illusion double-cast perk and cast it with both hands for a 2.2x multiplier.

Not saying that there's anything wrong with wanting the mod that you do, it's fine to get any sort of mod that you enjoy. However for your current vanilla game, this might help you get a bit more out of your illusion spells.

There's a good youtube video explaining how to get the illusion spells to work on higher level targets, it's here if you're interested.
