Jeffro503
As far as any type of gaming , I haven't played much of anything for about 10-12 years. I do however play around quite a bit in some driving sims and have a simrig here I built for that purpose , but I also built it to be able to switch around my hard ware in order to play some shooter games in the future. The last FPS games I ever finished ( or at least started but didn't finish ) was games like Half life 2 , F.E.A.R. 1 & 2 , the first Farcry...and so forth. So this past week I have been snowed in up here where I live and I decided to do some research on what games I may want to start playing. I just bought off of G2A , Fallout 3 , New Vegas and Fallout 4. I really like what I've seen so far about these games , but I also have a pretty big Steam library of games in which I've bought on black Friday deals and so forth. All the Farcry's , Crysis games , Metro's , Dying light , Soma and many , many more. So I was really wanting to dive into the Fallout 3 forums and ask what mods I should look into...and weather or not I should play and finish the game first...or is there mods that will make it more enjoyable for me before I even start? I don't care for 3rd person view games , so I'm focusing mainly on just the FPS games. I'm also more of a single player campaign type guy....so I like the good story lines as well as some good action. Anything you guys want to suggest? I figured this would take me quite a long time to play through a lot of these games , so I signed up for a 1yr premium membership here. Anyways...glad to be here. Fraym
The Fallout games seem to fit your playstyle pretty well. So not a bad choice of games there  I think you'll enjoy FO3, NV and FO4.(PS: For FO3 you might want to install some aiming down sights mod like RH_IronSIghts as this improves the FPS part of the game so much). Jeffro503
Thanks guys! And yeah , the COD games are definitely something I want to check out. Probably BF3 and BF4 as well. I know they are more centered around multiplayer but they do have some single player stuff as well.
Fraym
Just a heads up that the latest battlefield games are not really about campaign. They are primarily focused on online play. Not really my cup of tea but maybe they'll appeal to you.
an3k
There are some really good lore-enhancing mods for Fallout 4.http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13462/http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15962/http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12377/ Not directly adding more to the story but immersion:http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16000/ + http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16586/ + http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/197/ + http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16289/ If you like building your settlements you should take a look at these toohttp://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10039/http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9710/ For sure there are much mods but since i'm more into immersion than story I don't know which are good or bad. I found most of my mods through https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDbVYp0roWPsmX_zResM8MV7pSKgULKx3
